History :
Aksaray Provincial National Education Directorate (Aksaray İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü) is responsible for all education and training activities in Aksaray province. We are responsible for both formal education and Non-formal education in Aksaray. There are one director, 2 vice-directors, 13 branch managers, 13 inspectors, 103 sivil-servants and 5 project experts in our directorate. In Aksaray there are 228 primary schools, 149 secondary schools and 53 high schools. In each district of Aksaray there is one public education center which is gives non-formal education. In the city centre there is Guidance and Research Center which is responsible for Special education in Aksaray. We have got 6 schools and 8 rehabilitation centers where the Special education has been carried out. There are also some classes in normal schools and some disabled students go there.
